  • Waste water treatment

With NWTA Smartsan N technology, we treat sewage with a combination of anaerobic biological and Nano filtration process. This process has proven itself over the last 10 years to be reliable and cost effective. The process uses bacteria to reduce the BOD load as well as provide nitrification and denitrification of ammonia. The Nano filtration process ensures the removal of phosphates and heavy metals present in the effluent. This allows the treated effluent to be either safely discharged to the environment or alternatively reused to refill the flush toilet cistern to flush the toilet again. All our systems are Agrément certified (Certificate 2014/466).

  • Water Softening

Water softeners have been around for many years and are still the best solution available to get rid of lime scale in water. The process that water softeners use to remove lime from water is called ion exchange. Simply put, ion exchange is when hardness ions (lime) in water is replaced by sodium ions (salt).

  • Water purification

Various methods can be utilized for water purification which includes water softening, activated carbon filtration, ultra filtration, reverse osmosis or a combination of these methods depending on the degree of contamination in the water supply.

  • Chemical Water Conditioning

Chemical conditioning is used in mining and industrial applications where process water is circulated and reused several times over. The chemical conditioning keeps salts and minerals in solution for the protection of the machinery and equipment, and ensures that minimal makeup water is required. This method is utilized in systems like boilers, cooling towers, chillers, induction furnaces and heat exchange processes.

Water balancing and management is required in mining and industrial applications where various water sources are used or is in short supply. These programs and systems ensure optimal utilization of the scares and precious resource that is water.

  • Effluent treatment and re-utilization

Effluent treatment and re-utilization is required in cases where the discharge water is not suitable for the environment or to limit the discharge penalties that is applied by the DWA for industries.
